The `ATLANTIC 1100` in- and outsite
It's up to the owner if he wants steel or aluminium. Steel with his higher weight, but is easy to repair with a simple welding machine, and, everywhere in the world. Aluminum is an non rusting material, much lighter, but not as strong and need great skill to repair... It's more expensive and hard to get well painted. Steel is rusting, but is easy to maintain. For both materials exists a group of fanatic lovers, and so, this choice is up to you....
And than the shape: Round bilge ... no, too expensive ! Hard chinned hull ... YES. This is stiff, affordable, and can be build as (semi) monocoque. Local reinforcements as floors or bulkheads can be reduced to a minimum, without loosing strength and firmness. As well the fuel and water tanks are a substantial part of the firmness of the hull ! So, this is why The Passific and the Atlantic are as they are !
